Credit cards--pros and cons

I am a big proponent of using credit cards---provided you can pay them off within the statement period so you don't pay late fees or interest. I pay everything with credit these days. It is easy and you can earn rewards. Who doesn't love rewards?

With the holidays fast approaching, money can be tight. Make sure to shop sales, look for coupons and budget. But do NOT overspend on that credit card. Credit card debt can be an endless cycle.

Saving with the Girard Credit Union each month can be a big help toward spending for the holidays. Taking out a small loan with our low rates is much better than the high credit card rates. Whatever you decide to do about spending this Christmas make sure to give it some thought. Better to be deep in thought than deep in debt!(I know ---corny!)
